Dec. 29, 2018 – Mary Greeley News – PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Portland teen whose car got stuck in a pile of horse feces after a short pursuit by Manzanita police was transferred to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center after pouring gasoline on himself and setting himself on fire Friday night.
The Oregon State Police said the incident began at Nehalem Bay State Park when they were called about a man going to trailers there and asking for sex. Manzanita officers arrived first, but the 19-year-old got into his Nissan Altima and took off.
Police followed him until the Nissan plowed into the horse feces and became stuck. He then poured the gas on himself and lit it before getting out of the car and being taken into custody, OSP said.
An ambulance rushed him to Tillamook Regional Medical Center before being transferred later to Legacy Emanuel. It is not known at this time what his condition is.
