Indiana: Voting error leaves many South Bend political races in jeopardy, 22,000+ votes not counted

Nov 7, 2018 – Tens of thousands of votes in St. Joseph County still haven’t been counted, leaving many races in jeopardy.

After repeatedly going through vote totals, county officials and their vendor determined the totals reported didn’t include every ballot.

We’re told that 22,453 ballots have yet to be factored in to the results. These ballots are from early voting.

The numbers we and other media outlets have been giving you all night are just day-of votes, and aren’t the correct totals.

We’re still working to learn more about what caused this to happen.

Election officials have gone home for the night, and aren’t planning to address this issue until later this morning.
